Small Group Personal Training.

Each session is 60 minutes with a maximum of six members, ensuring plenty of attention and support. Training follows four-week cycles focused on hypertrophy and strength, built around progressive overload. You can track your weights and reps in our app or your training logbook.

Across each four-week cycle, there will be four programmed sessions per week. Every session is a full-body workout (so missing one won’t throw you off), with each class featuring one main compound lift that cycles through key movement patterns: push, pull, hinge and squat. The timetable will rotate to make sure you can complete all sessions within a one or two week period.

Twice a year, we’ll run Personal Best weeks, where you’ll have the opportunity to test your one-rep max on the key lifts and see how far you’ve progressed. All SGPT memberships also include open gym access, so you can use the space whenever classes aren’t running.

All our sessions are fully scalable, making SGPT suitable for every age and ability level. For example, if squats are programmed, beginners might start with a bodyweight or dumbbell goblet squat, while more experienced lifters work with barbell back or front squats. For those who are new to lifting, or need a refresher, our ‘Intro to Lifting’ workshops will run once per month to teach correct form and technique.

1-to-1 training is ideal for anyone new to strength training who wants to build confidence, learn proper technique and feel fully supported before transitioning into our Small Group Personal Training classes. It’s also perfect for those with specific goals, injuries, or performance targets who want a fully personalised programme tailored to their individual needs.

1-to-1 clients also enjoy access to our bi-monthly workshops, hiking and running clubs and all the other benefits of being part of the joy community.

Strong Girls.

Strong Girls is a confidence-building program designed specifically for girls aged 9+ to learn safe and effective strength training. Our focus is on mastering technique, building strength gradually and understanding how lifting supports long-term health, injury prevention and body confidence.

Sessions are welcoming and supportive, with expert coaching that empowers girls to feel comfortable in the gym environment. Alongside resistance training, we cover movement basics, mobility and the importance of balance, recovery and nutrition.

The aim is not only to build strength now but to equip young women with the tools, knowledge and self-belief to carry into adulthood.

Strong Mums.

Our 6-week Strong Mums course is designed to support women in safely returning to exercise after pregnancy. We focus on rebuilding core strength, pelvic floor function, posture and total-body stability through gentle but progressive strength training.

With 2 sessions per week and a maximum of 6 women per class, our Strong Mum courses are led by coaches qualified in postpartum training, giving you confidence and guidance every step of the way. We provide nannies to help keep your babies entertained throughout, so you can focus on feeling stronger and more connected to your body.

Nutrition coaching.

Our nutrition coaching is available as an add-on to SGPT memberships, designed to simplify healthy eating and help you build habits that last. No crash diets, no extremes — just practical, evidence-based guidance tailored to your goals, lifestyle and preferences.

Whether you want to feel stronger, support your training, manage your weight, or improve energy levels, we’ll create a personalised plan that works for you - with or without calorie & macronutrient tracking, depending on what’s appropriate — and help keep you on track with weekly check-ins. Coaching focuses on education, accountability and realistic changes so you feel confident in making choices that fuel both body and mind.
