Our services are designed to support women in getting stronger — safely, confidently and consistently.

Small Group
Personal Training.

Each session is 60 minutes with a maximum of six members, ensuring plenty of attention and support.

Structured, periodised training blocks for measurable, long-term results — not random workouts.

Every session is a full-body workout (so missing one won’t throw you off), with each class featuring one main compound lift that cycles through the fundamental movement patterns: squat, hinge, push and pull. (Click here to learn more)

You can track your weights and reps in your free training logbook.

Twice a year, we’ll run Personal Best weeks, where you’ll have the opportunity to test your one-rep max on the key lifts and see how far you’ve progressed.

All our sessions are fully scalable, making SGPT suitable for every age and ability level. For example, if squats are programmed, beginners might start with bodyweight, while more experienced lifters work with barbell back or front squats.

For those who are new to lifting, or need a refresher, our ‘Intro to Lifting’ workshops will run once per month to teach correct form and technique.

Power & Mobility Classes.

At joy, strength training is our foundation — but it’s not the whole picture.

That’s why we offer 30 minute Power classes, which includes plyometrics and high intensity interval training. These classes are carefully coached, scalable for all levels and challenging without being exhausting.

Our 45 minute mobility classes focus on improving joint range of motion, control and strength at end ranges, helping you to move more freely and confidently and improve lifting technique and performance.

1-to-1 Personal Training.

1-to-1 training is ideal for anyone new to strength training who wants to build confidence, learn proper technique and feel fully supported before transitioning into our Small Group Personal Training classes.

It’s also perfect for those with specific goals, injuries, or performance targets who want a fully personalised programme tailored to their individual needs.

1-to-1 clients also enjoy access to our bi-monthly workshops, hiking and running clubs and all the other benefits of being part of the joy community.

Strong Girls.

Strong Girls is a confidence-building programme designed specifically for girls aged 9+ to learn safe and effective strength training. Our focus is on mastering technique, building strength gradually and understanding how lifting supports long-term health, injury prevention and body confidence.

Our 45 minute sessions are welcoming and supportive, with expert coaching that empowers girls to feel comfortable in the gym environment. Alongside resistance training, we cover movement basics, mobility and the importance of balance, recovery and nutrition.

The aim is not only to build strength now but to equip young women with the tools, knowledge and self-belief to carry into adulthood.

Strong Mums.

Our 6-week Strong Mums course is designed to support women in safely returning to exercise after pregnancy. We focus on rebuilding core strength, pelvic floor function, posture and total-body stability through gentle but progressive strength training.

With two hour-long sessions per week and a maximum of 6 women per class, our Strong Mum courses are led by coaches qualified in postpartum training, giving you confidence and guidance every step of the way. We provide nannies to help keep your babies entertained throughout, so you can focus on feeling stronger and more connected to your body.

Creche.

Our on-site creche runs during selected mid-morning classes and is available as a membership add-on, providing a safe, calm and welcoming space for babies and young children while you train.

All sessions are supervised by DBS-checked, experienced nannies, so you can focus fully on your workout knowing your little ones are well cared for, engaged and happy nearby.

We know that finding time to train alongside caring for children isn’t always easy. Our creche is designed to remove that barrier — making it easier for you to prioritise your health, strength and wellbeing, without the stress of arranging childcare.
